Read MoreI made a video! My first one! Hahaha… can you tell I’m a little proud of myself? I watched this how-to video on YouTube last week and then got to work in iMovie. I’ve spent probably a couple hours each day for the past few days editing it down. Tough to do when you’ve got hundreds of videos of your kid on your phone. I started with over an hour of video footage and trimmed it down to a little over 3 minutes. Pretty good for a full year’s worth of content! The song is “Planet” by my sister-in-law Daniella Mason. She wrote it with my brother, who plays guitar on the track. I think a song by Kate’s aunt and uncle is the perfect choice for her first year video! Enjoy.

A year ago yesterday, my husband and I were all checked in at the hospital and feeling a mix of anxious, excited, and grateful. Looking back now on those first few days of Kate’s life, it seems like an entirely different era and hardly like it was only a short year ago. This milestone felt SO far away this time last year! But here we are. We made it.
